Hello All. I neglected to mention Elena's mother Tatyana has been with her in Reno since 10/10. Elena is off all IV's and just on oral pain meds. She is in allot of pain due to the invasive surgery on her soft tissue in her back. I wouldn't say her spirits are up but she is ready to return to Minnesota and begin her rehab- " I miss home".
She is considering the Mayo Clinic or the Courage Kenny Institute here in Minneapolis. Since her income is now basically $0 she should qualify for medical assistance. However this is a process and working hard on it. The hospital in Reno will not discharge her as homeless so we have a little bit more time. She will not have enough to cover all the expenses through a public program so we have to keep working on donations. Please keep this website on your radar and forward as opportunities arise.
Elena is monitoring the website and is overwhelmed by your generosity and the generosity of strangers.

Elena continues her recovery and is still in Reno Nevada. Diagnosis has not changed. She has been moved from ICU to the Neuroscience wing of the hospital. It turns out the transport this week was overly optimistic. Not sure of her return. Thanks so much for all your donations and will keep you posted. I researched medical transport and it is significant. Big problem is her being accepted at a rehab center in MN without insurance and I am working hard at her options.
